Spectrum Education Philosophy

Our students have a responsibility to not only acquire knowledge and learn skills but to use

them both to improve themselves and those around them. It is for this reason we chose

Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) and Tajan Azharian curriculum. The Cambridge curriculum gives us the flexibility required to shape the curriculum to meet the specific needs of our students whilst ensuring they develop 21st century skills. Tajan Azharian curriculum is world renowned for providing a curriculum that develops the students Arabic, Quran and Islamic studies and as a result creating a balanced Muslim.

We provide Spectrum Educational Modules (SEM) to enhance the students’ learning and give them ease of access to resources. Our Arabic modules include Kalemon and Baariq, both are designed to assist the students’ learning using a variety of exercises and resources that are aligned with their curriculum.

The science modules include Tigtag jr. for kindergarten, Tigtag for primary and lastly Twig and Phet for our secondary students. These modules allow students to experiment, explore and research a wide variety of topics. The modules are also used during classes by teachers to help students visualize and understand lessons.

When it comes to maths, our kindergarten students make use of splash learning, while our primary and secondary students utilise the interactive and remarkably versatile MyiMaths.

Assessments on the other hand are as usual of a school, the standard termly exams accompanied with grander end of semester examinations. Students’ also follow the Cambridge Checkpoints examinations for both year 6 (primary) and year 9 (secondary) as well as Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education IGCSE.  Teacher feedback is also taken into consideration as class participation and attendance does contribute to the students’ end of year report.

By making use of the technology at hand, adequate parent engagement and islamic teachings, we are blessed to nurture students prepared for the future in this life and the hereafter.
