CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES “CCA”

Co-Curricular Activities CCA are an extension of the formal learning experience that students have in Spectrum.

We offer swimming, taekwondo, archery, and horseback riding classes, merged in the students’ weekly timetable. Additionally, with CCA we provide Physical Education sessions (PE) teaching a variety of activities such as, Basketball, football, netball and many others.

Spectrum IIS ensures that the CCA is anticipated by the students according to their Academic year level. As they are assessed for their performance during CCA and the scores do reflect on their report by the end of the academic year.

Scouting gives children more confidence, responsibility, and a broader set of new friends. Scouting can help develop your child’s social skills and encourage self-sufficiency and gives your child access to activities and opportunities that may have been otherwise unavailable to them. The event will be held in cooperation with official trainers from MALAYSIA SCOUTING ORGANISATION.
Part of our CCA “co-curricular activities” are the horse riding classes. This semester we decided to build the horses’ stable within the school premises to ensure the students would be able to interact with the horses as much as possible. Alhamdullilah.

We have noticed that many students are keen to learn horse riding and always eagerly await their horse riding period. Captured here is some footage of the horse-riding training. By the will of Allah and our wonderful coaches, our students’ riding skills and technique have much improved in just a short period of time.

Our Archery curriculum isn’t just designed to be a fun activity to the students but it’s designed to add more discipline, fun, focusing skills, and keep the students attached to the Islamic heritage as they don’t just practice it, they learn about the history of the activity and the reasons why we chose Archery particularly for them and the reasons why Archery is important in each Muslim’s life.
