STEM

STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, & mathematics. It is a framework that focuses on the integration between all four areas for the purpose of helping students see the connection amidst the subjects and their real life applications.

With STEM, students are able to learn a variety of skills such as coding, 3D designing, circuit building and more. These skills have aided them in achieving applaudable feats worthy of mention, namely the completion of the Mission X educational program done by the ESA (European Space Agency.) As well as participating in the annual school’s STEM fair, where students join individual and group challenges and present their different creative projects.

The uniqueness of STEM, in particular it is a gradual and continuous learning process, its coverage of an array of topics and the hands on creativity combined with the intuition required, has had such a positive impact on our students’ learning, STEM sessions proved the students’ increased aptitude in communication, teamwork, self-expression and a large boost of confidence, teaching them soft skills and providing them with the tools to more independent active learning.

It is time to share about the winner project “The Homely Compost Bin”!

Our brilliant student Aiysha, has come up with a great project idea which won’t just help the environment recover but will also save a stable side income to normal families.

Food waste has become a major threat to our environment and wellbeing as it releases about 3 BILLION TONNES OF CO2 YEARLY.

Check out the project and get more information about it by the inventor herself!

Here at Spectrum, our teachers cultivate the passion for Science through engaging lessons. We are thrilled this year to see various innovations presented during STEAM Fair. Our student Darwish from year 9 who won second place introduced us to this amazing idea that will help the communities who suffer from lack of clean drinking water!

Check out How Darwish’s amazing idea can literally change the world!

We would like you to meet our brilliant student Sulaiman Zafir who achieved the 3rd place in our latest STEAM Fair for his amazing project “TempJac” as he named it.

This project is initiated to support the underprivileged in need and he aspires to help refugees who don’t have proper shelter.

Sulaiman would like to explain his project by himself as he is the best one to do so.

Check out his project and show him some support for his effort and great ideas.
