Summer Program

Spectrum’s Internship started as a summer program with the IT department and developed to be a 3 month internship program that isn’t only during summer but also during the school year. Students now are able to work with several departments such as: IT, students affairs, admission, marketing and academic departments, which gives them a great chance to work with different people in different fields.

Interns work on projects that support the school. A way for them to experience work life and learn how to use the skills they have to get the job done. In addition, they attend talks given by guests from different professions to explore various work fields and find their desired career path. Interns are also required to join courses that will help them develop and gain professional certificates.

When it comes to the program’s outcomes, six Interns have achieved the G suite general certification last summer. That made them the 1st group of students in Malaysia and Worldwide to receive this recognised certificate that is usually given to professionals. They were engaged in work experiments and given tasks to complete projects and products under supervision, such as the parents’ zone on the schools’ website and ID tags for the school’s community.

Throughout the program, interns gain crucial soft skills like communication, teamwork, time management, financial management, and problem-solving.

The internship program welcomes students from year 9 and above. In order to join, students must achieve an A in Quran and ICT, and no less than a B for the rest of the subjects.
