ENGLISH WEEK

This year English Week took place on 20-24 September 2021. In order to learn and explore English in a fun way, our English Week focused on the theme of HOPE.

To carry out all these tasks and perform activities that would be attractive for our students, the team led by the English department, together with other teachers from all other departments of the school did a great job and tried to do our best to make this English Week a success.

We can say that we are very satisfied with the work done and with the participation of all the students in each and every one of the proposed activities.

We started the English Week by briefing our students about the activities planned ahead. Most of the students participated in the Story Writing & the Story Telling competition. We received numerous participation. We can say that our students were highly motivated in writing their stories and what makes it more interesting is that, for the Story Telling competition, they recorded their video and Alhamdulillah the results are something that we can be proud of! They have made varied and interesting works on their chosen topics.

And to close this fantastic English Week, we held a Grammar competition. The competition included a total of 40 grammar questions covering different areas; Determiners, Tenses, Conjunctions and more. Participants received a Revision booklet and resources to prepare for the competition. In two groups, upper and lower secondary, the participants competed by answering two sets of Grammar questions on the Quizizz platform. By the end of the competition, we celebrated the top 3 scorers in each group as well as all those who participated in a wonderful ceremony.

Well done Spectrum students. Applause to all of them for their great participation in this English week and we are waiting for you next year!
